What is the difference between Soy and Paraffin Wax?
- Soy wax is made of hydrogenated soybean oil and is plant based. It goes through a refinery process that becomes oil and then wax. The biggest advantage is soy wax has a longer burn time and scent retention.
- Paraffin wax is derived from either crude oil or petroleum and is known as a byproduct of the oil purification process. Paraffin wax is also synthetic.
- Most importantly, both are non-toxic.
